Daniil Khlusevich: We always fought for each other

The 20-year-old midfielder, who made his debut for PFC Arsenal in the spring of 2018, summed up his performances for the gunsmiths.

As already reported, one of the leaders of Tula (46 matches in the Premier League and 8 goals scored) signed a contract with Spartak Moscow and will play for red and white from the new year.

– Daniel, how is your vacation going?

– Immediately after the end of the first part of the season, I went home to the Crimea. I spend my entire vacation with my family and doing household chores. To be honest, I have not yet felt that the vacation has begun. A lot of different questions have accumulated, which I am just now trying to close before the new year. I haven't seen my relatives for a long time, I had to visit everyone. You know that at the end of the year I got injured. Unfortunately, she did not allow to play with Khimki and CSKA. Now everything is fine, I regularly train in order to approach the training camp in optimal shape.

– Are you satisfied with the way Arsenal spent the first part of the championship?

– I think that in our team there are no players who would be satisfied with the state of affairs in the standings. Arsenal have a strong and experienced squad that must fight for at least a place in the top eight. In the first part, we changed the coaching staff, Miodrag Bozovic came. His arrival coincided with a large number of injuries, because of this, Bozovic did not immediately manage to stabilize the squad and improve the game. In the last matches of the year against Lokomotiv and Khimki, we have already begun to show the kind of football that the coach wants us to see. Now the team will hold a training camp, lay the necessary functional foundation, the guys will heal old injuries, and in the spring Tula will not only be able to solve the issue of maintaining a place in the RPL, but will also fight for places at the top of the table.

– You signed a contract with Spartak in the middle of autumn, and Arsenal still had a lot of games to play. It somehow pressed psychologically?

– Not. I was completely focused on playing for Arsenal, which made me a Premier League player and gave me the opportunity to go to a top club. Football is loved in Tula, there are sincere people who live by their favorite team. How could I let down the fans, who gave me crazy support in every home game.

– Will you be sad for the time in Tula?

– Certainly. At Arsenal, my formation as a football player took place. I went from youth team to senior team. There were a lot of things. The first match in the Premier League against Dynamo, the first goal in Yekaterinburg, victories over the giants, the atmosphere in the team, the support of the fans and the many friends I found in Tula. The time at Arsenal is the best I've had in my career, but I need to move on.
