Of course, sport has always been considered useful, and the people involved in it are healthy. However, there has always been a certain limitation – it was believed that sports are harmful to people with myopia, it can provoke a deterioration in the condition of the eyes. Today, the opinion of ophthalmologists has changed. According to the results of a number of studies, it was concluded that sports, on the contrary, are good for vision. Physical exercises have a great effect on strengthening the muscles and blood vessels of the eyes.

The main rule when choosing a sport for people with myopia is to take into account the heart rate. 100 – 140 beats per minute – the optimal heart rate, which is typical for sports such as running and swimming. During these exercises, blood circulation in the eyes improves. But an increase in heart rate up to 180 beats per minute provokes prolonged ischemia of the eyes, which is harmful to vision. Such a pulse is typical, for example, for jumping, acrobatics.

Those sports are very useful for vision, during which you constantly need to switch vision from close to far. Volleyball, tennis, table tennis, billiards perfectly train the muscles of the eyes. Measured rhythmic movements that need to be performed while playing billiards and tennis help to relax, relieve eye strain, and increase the sensitivity of the retina.

Use contact lenses for sports because they don't break, don't slip off the bridge of your nose, and give you a wider field of vision than glasses.
