On May 10, in the branch of the city chess club, the last tours ended the championship of Irkutsk among boys and girls in classic chess 2015.

Within 8 days, young chess players fought for the titles of the strongest. The competition turned out to be stubborn in most tournaments.

I would like to note the increased level of young chess players compared to the previous year and thank the trainers for their work, and parents for patience in raising their children.

In the boys tournament, under 9 years old, 12 young people participated. The leaders were indicated after the first tours, but how their distribution in the upper part of the table would be unclear to the last round. 9 Tour determined the arrangement. The winner of the tournament was the champion of Irkutsk in this category Egor Filimonov (coach Markov M.P.). He was awarded a cup, a gold medal, a letter and a prize. The second was the Shelekhov citizen Borislav Mikhailov, according to the position he was awarded a letter and a prize for 2nd place. But the silver medalist of the championship of Irkutsk became the next behind Borislav Alexander Odintsov (coach Demikhov M.). The next Irkutnyan on the standings was the bronze medalist Alexander Makeev (coach Markov M.P.).

In this tournament, young Shelekhovites dominated, they settled in the first three tournament: 1st place – Vera Gerasimenko, 2nd place – Stanislav Koshkareva, 3rd place – Alena Semenova.They were awarded diplomas and prizes. However, the champion of Irkutsk became Alice Ginzburg (coach Krinin Yu.P.), who finished the trail of the “slaughter” Shelekhov three. The silver medalist became Bogdan is linden (coach Demikhov M.), bronze medalist – Julia Agafonova (coach – Drapeza S.N.). The champion and winners were awarded medals and letters (champion – Cup).

This tournament initially promised to be intriguing. The starting sheet of this category included a number of strong young chess players, whose rivalry was to be interesting and it was difficult to predict the final result. However, the winner of the tournament and the champion of Irkutsk became clear for the tour to the end. He became Egor Trofimov (coaches Synyakov I.A. and Kodko V.V.). He was awarded a cup, a medal, a letter and a prize. Egor distinguished calmness and pragmatism from the rest, while the emotional game of his rivals led to mistakes, which was affected in the form of loss of glasses. For the entire tournament, Yegor lost only half a glass and then in the last round. Following Trofimov settled Egor Daurtsev (coach Mikhailov A.A.), who became a silver medalist. Shelekhochanin Demyan Bubnov, who became the third in the table received a letter and a prize. But the bronze medalist of the championship was the next Irkutsk table Ruslan Nikolaev (coach Mikhailov A.A.).

The most unpredictable was the tournament of girls under 11 years old, who competed in 2 circles. The ambiguity was throughout the tournament, 4 girls competed on equal terms with each other, and this ambiguity remained even after the end of all parties. Three had the same number of points and the same indicators in the games among themselves! I had to count Berger! He placed everyone according to the table.1st place was taken by Alina Pimkina from Shelekhov, she was awarded a diploma and a prize, and the champion of Irkutsk in this category was declared to finish second after Alina in Berger – Sofia Zalutskaya (coach Markov M.P.), who was awarded a cup, a medal, a prize and a diploma. Third among those who finished with the same number of points was Anastasia Globina (coach Mikhailov A.A.), she became a silver medalist. The bronze medalist of the Championship was the next after Nastya in the table from Irkutsk – Julia Kolmakova (coach Markov M.P.).

From the very beginning, Yan Korotkikh took the lead in the tournament, Dmitry Trukhin tried to catch up with him, several rounds were equal on points, and even Dmitry was ahead of Yan in Buchholz, but a misfire in the penultimate round cost Dmitry the championship. Jan did not make any mistakes in the last round and was declared the champion of Irkutsk in this category with a cup, medal, diploma and prize. Jan Short (coach Goryachkin A.O.). Silver medalist Dmitry Trukhin (coach Krinin Yu.P.). The third place in the tournament was taken by Demyan Bubnov, but he played outside the standings and received only an encouraging letter, and the bronze medalist was Dmitry Kuzakov (coach – Kron V.V.), who finished after Demyan.

Daniil Kyshtymov was initially considered the favorite of the tournament, having already managed to play in the finals of the Irkutsk Classic Chess Championship among adults and played there on an equal footing.He confirmed his class, passing the distance with a 100% score of 9 out of 9 possible. Daniil Kyshtymov and became the champion of the city in this category (coach Syunyakov I.A.). He was awarded a cup, a medal, a diploma and a prize. The silver medalist was Ilya Tsydypov (coach – Khodko V.V.). Until the last round, Danil Belyalov was on an equal footing with him, but a misfire in the last round knocked him out for fighting in the top three. The third place in the tournament was taken by Dmitry Koshkarev from Shelekhov with a diploma and a prize, but the bronze medalist of the Championship was declared Danil Rodionov, who finished after Dmitry (coach Rudykh. S.L.)

Unfortunately, in this category only 4 girls participated in the tournament, who played 3 rounds among themselves.

1st place in the tournament was taken by Ekaterina Tatarnikrova from Shelekhov with a diploma and a prize, and the 2nd place became the champion of Irkutsk with a cup, medal, certificate and prize Elena Bubnova. The silver medalist was Margarita Kireeva (coach Mikhailov A.A.). A consolation prize, certificate and medal were awarded to Nyurguyana Kustova from Kirensk, who finished fourth.

Category 17-19 years old.

The combined tournament in the category of 17-19 years old was held in the City Chess Club and ended earlier. Unfortunately, only 6 people and not a single girl participated in it. Moreover, the winners of the tournament with absolutely equal performance were the guests: Ivan Naumov from Angarsk and Vladimir Bychkov from Shelekhov. The rest of the participants were representatives of Irkutsk and belonged to the category under 17 years old. Champion of Irkutsk among boys under 17 became Tsydykh Pokhodiev, silver medalist Arseny Stenshin (coach – Krasnopeev P.V.), bronze medalist – Dmitry Turov (coach – Khodko V.V.).

Medals, diplomas and prizes were provided by the City Sports and Methodological Center of Irkutsk. The cups were provided by the United Chess Federation of Irkutsk.
