Rambler filed another lawsuit to block content related to broadcasting matches of the English football Premier League. The defendant on this claim was “Match TV”. It turned out that the Moscow City Court on December 10 decided to block 15 days of broadcast on the site as a security measure. However, there are neither full versions nor fragments of the Land's ADL matches for “Match TV”.

The decision must execute Roskomnadzor. Rambler during this period should go to court with a lawsuit.

The Bell journalists, however, drew attention to the fact that the court ruling speaks of “direct broadcasts of football matches of the clubs of the English football Premier League in the 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22 season,” which is already not on the site . The publication turned to the plaintiff and the defendant for comments.

In parallel, Rambler Group has achieved that the broadcasts were blocked on several pirate sites, including Footballhgs.com, Reallook.ru, Sporttranslit.ru, Liveball.ru, Gohafilm.ru.

Earlier, Match TV also expressed claims to Rambler. In November, the Moscow City Court ordered the website of Championat.com to delete more than two dozen videos with fragments of broadcasts of the Russian Football Championship, since the rights to show it “Match TV”. The plaintiff did not require any compensation.

Rambler bought the rights to show three seasons of the Premier League for his OKKO online cinema in 2019. Previously, these rights were at Match TV.

The day before, it became known that the Rambler Group filed a lawsuit against the Twitch streaming platform, accusing it of the spread of the pirate broadcasts of the Premier League. The holding requires compensation in the amount of 180 billion rubles for 36 thousand illegal broadcasts, as well as block the service. Representatives of the service in response said that these requirements are unfair, as Twitch provides users access to the platform, but does not place their own content and cannot change the user. The Moscow City Court as part of the lawsuit blocked the show of direct broadcasts of football matches of cups.

The representative of Twitch in the court, Julianna Tabastaeva, reported that the initially Rambler sought to block broadcasts, and only then added compensation in the amount of 147 million rubles and soon increased this amount. The meeting on the claim is scheduled for December 20.

Rambler Group last week was in the center of another scandal. On December 12, the NGINX office took searches as part of the company's claim, which announced violation of its exclusive rights to the web server of the same name created by programmers Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov. The claim came from Lynwood Investments, whose beneficiary is Alexander Mamut. He also owns 46.5% in Rambler Group. The American F5 Networks, which owns Nginx, said these claims are meaningless. They also informed customers that they took measures to ensure the safety of assembly Nginx, Nginx Plus, Nginx WAF and Nginx Unit.

On December 16, the Kremlin refused to comment on what was happening, saying that it was outside the sphere of competence of the authorities, and arbitration should figure out in the conflict. At the same time, Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes that this situation will not affect the country's investment climate: “Of course, such far-reaching conclusions are unlikely to be drawn. Russia retains its attractiveness, the Russian market is a market where new startups are growing, and then, you know, they receive international recognition. ”

On the same day, it turned out that at an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors Rambler, which was held at the insistence of Herman Gref, it was decided to apply to the police with a request to terminate the criminal case against Nginx. The company will also terminate the contract with the Cyprus company Lynwood Investments, which previously transferred the rights to file claims and claims against Nginx.

By decision of the Council, Rambler representatives will also have to discuss with Sysoev, Konovalov and F5 Networks the nuances of documents that served as the basis for litigation.
The first deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank Lev Hasis said the following: Mamut on Monday participated in the board and supported all the decisions we proposed.

On the night of December 16 to 17, an open letter was published in support of Nginx and Igor Sysoev from those who worked in Rambler in different years. It was signed by several dozen people – programmers, system administrators, managers, editors and other employees. “We consider the latest events whose actors our colleagues are, talented developers and founders of Nginx Igor Sysheev and Maxim Konovalov, a monstrous violation of professional ethics and copyright,” the authors of the appeal said.
