Summary

The Tel Aviv Marathon is an annual marathon and half marathon race in Tel Aviv, Israel. Official name – Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon. About 40,000 athletes take part in the 42.195 km marathon and satellite races (in 2018, 2171 participants completed the marathon distance, 8786 athletes ran the half marathon).

The first marathon in Tel Aviv was held in 1981, the competition was not held in 1983, from 1995 to 2005 and in 2013.

The Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon is the qualifying marathon for the Abbott WMM Wanda World Championship in age categories!

Events

42.195 km marathon race (Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon)
The 42.195 km marathon race starts at 7:00 22 February 2019 (Friday) from the boulevard Rokach Blvd. (between park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). Participants must be 18 years of age or older on the date of the race.

Half marathon race 21.097 km
The 21.097 km half marathon race starts at 6:15 and 6:30 on February 22, 2019 (Friday) from the boulevard Rokach Blvd. (between park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). Participants must be 16 years of age or older on the date of the race.

10 km race
The 10 km race starts at 8:45, 9:00, 9:15 and 9:30 on February 22, 2019 (Friday) from the boulevard Rokach Blvd. (between park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). Registration fee: 31-43 € (130-180 ILS). The age of the participants is from 14 years old on the date of the race.

5 km race
The 5 km race starts at 10:15 February 22, 2019 (Friday) from the boulevard Rokach Blvd. (between park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). Registration fee: 24-34 € (100-140 ILS). The age of the participants is from 13 years old on the date of the race.

21.097 km wheelchair and hand bike ride
Wheelchair and hand bike race starts at 6:10 22 February 2019 (Friday) from the boulevard Rokach Blvd. (between park Hayarkon and Merkaz Hayeridim). Registration fee: 43-53 € (180-220 ILS).

Children's race for 0.5 km and 1 km (Kids Mini Marathon)
Children's races start from 16:00 February 20, 2019 (Wednesday) in the complex Sarona, Tel Aviv. Registration fee: 10-15 € (40-60 ILS). Age of participants: 5-8 years old on the date of the 0.5 km race, 5-14 years old on the date of the 0.5 km race for children with special needs, 9-12 years old on the date of the 1 km race. The pasta party will take place on the evening of February 21, 2019 (Thursday) on the square Rabin Square. Participation fee: 20 € (80 ILS), payment upon registration.

Distances of all races of the Tel Aviv Marathon (Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon) 2019 are drawn in one circle, have a flat relief. Routes are laid both along the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea and along the streets of Tel Aviv, belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The starting block is indicated on the participant number.

Time limit for marathon distance – 6 hours, for a half marathon – 2 hours 45 minutes.

At the Tel Aviv Marathon and Half Marathon (Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon) 2019, a pacemaker service is provided. Pacemakers are located at the beginning of the starting blocks and can be identified by their jerseys and balloons with finish times marked on them. Predicted finish times for the marathon: 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00. Predicted finish times for the half marathon: 1:40, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:30.

Storage of participants' belongings on the day of the race is available for a fee of 8 € (30 ILS).

from January 25 to February 16, 2019 – 72 € (300 ILS).

until November 29, 2018 – 43 € (180 ILS);
from November 30, 2018 to January 24, 2019 – 48 € (200 ILS);
