Maya Bekbayeva and Zakirzhan Kuziev have been relieved of their positions as Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan by the orders of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Ulysmedia.kz reports citing Akorda.

Natalya Dementieva and Taufik Karimov have been appointed new vice-chairmen of the ANC.

Maya Bekbayeva was born on February 12, 1979 in Semey. Bekbayeva is a journalist, TV presenter, editor and producer. Since 2019, he has been the general director of the Kazakh TV state channel.

Bekbayeva is best known for speaking to former President Nursultan Nazarbayev at one of the Nur Otan party congresses in 2016:

Zakirzhan Kuziev was born on January 30, 1969 in Almaty. He was the general director of LLP Zharkent starch and syrup plant and the president of LLP Universal.

Bekbayeva and Kuziev have been deputy chairmen of the ANC since November 11, 2020.
